Starting in 2019 all Universitas Sebelas Maret diploma programs become one at Sekolah Vokasi. Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Sebelas Maret is an academic implementing element equivalent to a Polytechnic that organizes vocational education or professional education programs including Diploma programs at the DII, DIII, DIV levels which are terminal. Vocational education is higher education that prepares students to become educated and skilled human beings, as well as professionals, especially in mastery of technical provisions.

The management office of Sekolah Vokasi UNS is located at the Tirtomoyo Campus, Jalan Kolonel Sutarto 150K, Jebres, Surakarta, while lectures for study programs are held in addition to the Tirtomoyo Campus and are also held at the Kentingan Campus, Jalan Ir. Sutami 36 A Surakarta.

Sekolah Vokasi UNS also manages three Off-Main Campus Study Programs (PSDKU) in Madiun Regency.

D.    The Other Activities

      At the Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Sebelas Maret, we do not only learn but there are other activities such as organizations. Sekolah Vokasi has Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) and Himpunan Mahasiswa Prodi (HMP). In addition, the lecturers are also active in holding Vocational Coaching (Webinars) with different themes every month for free plus certificates. Isn't that interesting?

The Conclusion

The UNS Vocational School aims to produce skilled and expert graduates so that they can help in the world of work. The Vocational School curriculum is different from the Undergraduate curriculum, because there are more practical activities here. There is an internship program for all vocational students. This internship activity is carried out when students are in the fifth semester. The internship program is conducted for two months. Vocational Schools collaborate with companies and institutions in internships. These companies come from domestic and international companies. This apprenticeship program is very useful for students so that students can share the knowledge they have learned so far. Although Vocational Schools have only been established for a few years, they are increasingly able to provide many benefits for students and the academic community. Vocational Schools provide adequate facilities and are supported by professional teaching staff. It is hoped that with the plan to build an eleven storey building and add other facilities, Vocational Schools can compete with Vocational Schools in Indonesia such as ITB, Universitas Diponegoro and Universitas Gajah Mada.
